Becca from Darent Valley Hospital is crowned NICU Superhero for the second time!

     

Becca from Darent Valley Hospital has been nominated for our NICU Superhero Award for a second time!

Clare has nominated Becca for our award because she took such wonderful care of her son, Tommy, during his stay at Darent Valley Hospital.

Tommy was born at 36 weeks and 2 days gestation and stayed in the NICU for 5 weeks. Becca was by their side every step of the way.

"Tommy's NICU stay wasn't straightforward, and he was referred to Great Ormond Street Hospital. Our journey was very up and down.

During this time, Becca was more than Tommy's nurse, she was there for the highs and lows.

We cried, we laughed, and everything in between.

This was all whilst the pandemic was going on too!

Becca is phenomenal and the care she showed was evident with every family that she encountered.

We will always be eternally grateful to Darent Valley Hospital and especially Becca."
