Congratulations to Tamara from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow! You are a PICU Superstar.

Tamara from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow is our newest PICU Superstar!

Michelle got in touch with us because her son, Arthur, spent a lot of time in the PICU and she wanted to say an extra special thank you to Tamara.

" Arthur had a rocky start to life. He was born at 27 weeks and was treated in the NICU. Arthur got NEC x2 and had 6 surgeries on his tummy. He also had stage 5 ROP in his left eye and stage 4 ROP in his right eye.

Arthur was admitted to the PICU because of his chronic lung disease and they put him on a BiPAP so I could get him home. They also fitted a peg in Arthur's tummy so that he could grow and feed.

Tamara was always there when it got bad and she was a great shoulder to cry on. She helped to build up my confidence in caring for Arthur and made sure that I got all the training I needed. She always made sure I was listened to.

Tamara was really supportive of me and my family. Thank you so much, Tamara!"

You are a true superstar, Tamara. It's incredible how much help you give to families like Michelle's. Thank you for everything you do - you are truly deserving of this award!
