Karen from Princess Royal Maternity Hospital in Glasgow is crowned NICU Superhero for the second time!

     

Karen from Princess Royal Maternity Hospital in Glasgow is receiving our NICU Superhero Award for the second time!

Ilona has nominated Karen for our award because she was so thankful for her support when her daughter, Aria, spent over 7 weeks in the neonatal unit.

"Karen was so supportive of us and encouraged skin-to-skin.

When we had Aria out for cuddles, she always made sure we were comfortable and checked on us.

We could tell how much Karen loved Aria and could see how well she took care of her.

She also helped us to feel safe during a very difficult time.

Leaving the hospital every day without your baby doesn't get any easier, so knowing how much Aria was loved made it a tiny bit better!"
