Kirsty from Aberdeen Maternity Hospital is crowned NICU Superhero for the second time!

Emma has nominated the amazing Kirsty from Aberdeen Maternity Hospital for our NICU Superhero Award.

Emma was blown away by Kirsty's care for her son, Archie, during his 4 week neonatal stay.

Archie was born at 33 weeks and 1 day gestation, weighing 3lbs 5oz.

"Kirsty went above and beyond to help our boy, Archie. She was just so caring and gentle.

I dealt with good nurses every day but Kirsty stood out to me. She was always there for Archie, Rhys and me.

She never made us feel silly for all the questions we would ask.

Even when Archie wasn't in her care, she would take the time to stop and ask not just how Archie was, but how I was too.

Kirsty also shared how much she enjoyed sending vCreate photos and videos to parents. This told me so much about her as a person. She would always make the messages extra special.

Thank you so much, Kirsty, for looking after our little bundle of joy!"

Congratulations, Kirsty! The fact that you have won our award for the second time just shows how much your caring and gentle nature means to parents.
