Lynne from Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow is a NICU Superhero!

Peter has nominated Consultant Neonatologist, Lynne, for our NICU Superhero Award!

When Peter's twins, Anthony and Rose, were born at 29 weeks gestation at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, he was so grateful for Lynne going the extra mile.

"Lynne's care was outstanding.

It was such a stressful and terrifying time which Lynne made so much easier.

She made me feel involved in the birth, care, and particularly the baptism even though I couldn't visit for a week.

Not only did Lynne provide first-class medical care, but the pastoral care she provided was also outstanding.

She would send photos of the twins when I couldn't visit due to having COVID.

Lynne also stood in for the godparents as the twins were baptised in the hospital. She arranged for me to watch the baptism live and provided two baptism candles."

Congratulations, Lynne!

You really deserve recognition for thinking of the little extras to make parents' neonatal journeys that bit easier.
