NICU Superhero this week is...Andrea from James Cook University Hospital!

     

Andrea from James Cook University Hospital has been nominated for our NICU Superhero award by Frances!

Frances wanted to say an extra special thank you to Andrea for taking such fantastic care of her son, Samuel, when he was born at 33 weeks and 4 days gestation.

"Andrea not only cares for the babies, but she is also amazing with all the parents.

She felt like a friend and listening ear when I was on the unit.

I felt she really understood what I was going through as she shared her own experiences. This was exactly what I needed at the time as I struggled to come to terms with what had happened.

If I could nominate all the staff at James Cook University Hospital - I would! The team are amazing."
