Our NICU Superhero this week is... Jemima from St George's Hospital in Tooting!
02 April 2021

Paige has nominated the lovely Jemima from St George's Hospital in Tooting to be crowned NICU Superhero this week!
Paige's son, Harrison, spent 11 weeks in the neonatal unit at St George's after being born at 36 weeks with spina bifida during hydrocephalus. At just 2 days old, he had to undergo spinal surgery.
This incredible little boy then went on to have 4 operations at St George's Hospital. During this time, Paige was blown away by Jemima's care for Harrison.
"Jemima is honestly fantastic. The care she provides the babies is out of this world.
She would take Harrison out of his cot and play and interact with him - she loved him like her own!
Jemima made our neonatal journey so much easier and we felt at such ease with her looking after our poorly boy.
She was always at the end of the phone and making sure his vCreate was up to date with photos when we couldn't be there.
Jemima is a credit to St George's Hospital and goes above and beyond to meet their care expectations.
I honestly can't thank her enough!"
Congratulations, Jemima! Your 'out of this world' care makes such a difference to families going through very challenging times.
