Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow's Marnie is a NICU Superhero!

Sarah has nominated Marnie from the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow to be crowned a NICU Superhero!

When Sarah's son, Caleb, was admitted to the unit due to having a Pulmonary Embolism, he ended up having open heart surgery at one week old.

During this time, Marnie was such a great support.

"Marnie was one in a million during our time in the neonatal unit.

She had a certain calmness about her that we felt Caleb could sense too.

Marnie always looked after our well-being as well as Caleb's.

She would make sure we would rest, eat and take breaks. To reassure us, Marnie would say 'I will look after him like he is my own'.

Marnie made us feel so at ease, is a good laugh and genuinely cared about us as a family.

She was the one who set us up with vCreate so we could keep connected when we weren't there.

Thank you, Marnie!"

Congratulations, Marnie!

Your calm and caring nature really put parents at ease during incredibly difficult times.
