Super sister, Maisie, is receiving our Best Buddy Sibling Award this week!

     

Sian has nominated her wonderful daughter, Maisie, for our Best Buddy Sibling Award because she was such a star when her brother, Ralph, was born 13 weeks early.

"Maisie always wanted a little brother or sister for most of her life, so when she found out she was having a little brother, she was so excited!

When Ralph arrived prematurely, she fell in love with him and spent most of her summer holidays at the hospital visiting him.

Maisie was so understanding that she couldn't hold him or do all the big sister jobs that she was so excited for.

However, she found other ways to help by bringing in books to read him, drawing for him and telling him about his family and home.

The picture is of the first time she got to hold him, 7 weeks after his birth.

It's still the first thing she does in the morning and the last thing she does at night.

Maisie has been by his side every step of the way and always tells him how loved he is."

Well done, Maisie! It sounds like you are a brilliant big sister and your family are so proud of you!
