World Prematurity Day saw the launch of vCreate in more units!

Yesterday was World Prematurity Day and neonatal units across the world held celebrations to mark this special day in the neonatal calendar. It is a day to raise awareness of premature birth and also to celebrate all those babies who were born too soon, they have all fought hard to be where they are today.

Two neonatal units launched vCreate as a part of their celebrations and we are delighted to welcome more neonatal units to the vCreate family!

Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham

The neonatal unit at Medway Maritime Hospital launched and you can watch this video of the unit’s Neonatal Sister Rebecca Winch, talking about how the service will benefit families on the unit. The system is being funded by The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust

Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford

The special care baby unit at Royal Surrey County Hospital also launched yesterday, thanks to funding from Royal Surrey County Hospital Charity. You can read the story behind the launch and how Bridget Walton, a parent who has herself experienced life in the unit, helped introduce vCreate to the trust here.

We have more units due to launch in the coming weeks so watch this space!
