An incredible £3,000 has been raised to support neonatal families

Today we bring you the happy news that the Fourth Annual Rory Graham Golf Day, an event organised by one of our valued sponsors Treasured MemoRory’s, was a roaring success. Last Friday, 33 golfers battled for glory at Rowallan Castle Golf Club and despite the truly awful weather, raised an incredible £3,000!

The Founder of Treasured MemoRory’s, Stephanie-Jane Taylor and her partner Scott, organise this annual event to raise funds for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity in memory of their son Rory, who passed away in 2016. Earlier this year, Rory’s younger brother Romeo, also very sadly passed away.

Throwing themselves into their fundraising, Stephanie and Scott continued with their plans for Rory's annual event. Wanting to include Romeo in the day, they commissioned a new trophy, Romeo's Trophy, and created a new golfing challenge for the prize. John Shanks (pictured above in white) was the winner of Romeo’s trophy and Robbie MacInnes (pictured above in dark blue) was crowned the overall winner of the day, congratulations to both!

Since Treasured MemoRory’s was established in 2016, Stephanie (pictured above) and her family have raised over £21,241‬ - a truly amazing feat. Treasured MemoRory's became vCreate’s sponsor at the neonatal unit at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow in 2017 and thanks to this funding, nurses on the unit have now recorded and sent over 4,700 videos of babies to their parents at home.
